Are you pursuing happiness in life, wanting to make a positive impact in your world and those around you?

Life might feel overwhelming at times. Sometimes it might feel like it is throwing at you more than you can handle? If things aren't quite feeling right with yourself, you're looking for ways to reconnect with your true self, boost your self-confidence, and regain the confidence you once had, you're not alone.

I can provide you with more than counselling. Beyond my role as a chartered psychologist in Italy, I've faced and understand the struggles that come with trying to find your route while navigating change. I'm here to help you make sense of it all, put your thoughts together, and get you back on the path to the happiness you deserve and planned for when moving to a new Country. You can do it.

What is my approach?

I believe in personalised and empathetic approach to counselling, especially tailored for the the unique challenges faced by ex-pats. My counselling style focues on creating a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions.

My approach adopts tools and practices based on Self-Empowerment and Human Flourishing.

Self-Empowerment, a methodology developed by Italian psychologists Stefano Gheno and Massimo Bruscaglioni, forms the cornerstone of our journey together. Through questions and moments of reflection this approach aims at putting you back in charge of your life. After our initial sessions we will define together a personalised path to sustained well-being which, amongst all, include tools to self-reflect, boost your confidence, and regain the motivation to reach the goals you've set for yourself.

With small but significative changes, you'll progressively find yourself growing in confidence, feeling more capable, and able to be razor focussed. This, in essence, is Self-empowerment. In short, doing it is to believe it!

At the same time, a direct focus on well-being is vital to sustain Self-Empowerment in the long term. To fulfill your goals is about being the best version of yourself in a more holistic way, in a bio-psycho-social sense. In our sessions we will address issues that might hinder any progress in your personal journey. These can range from depression to anxiety, or lack of self-confidence. We will find ways to identify the source of these difficulties and, with small wins and changes in your day-to-day life, overcome them. You might learn the power of mindfulness, meditation, breathing practices, mental hygiene, and so on.

our sessions, with the addition of tailored tools and exercises, will ensure you will establish a consistent level of well-being that will prope you towards happiness and self-realisation. Small adjustments, such as establishing a routine, practicing psychological self-care, or unleashing your creativity can mark the initial steps toward an Upward Spiral of positive emotions and improved well-being.

My ultimate objective as a psychologist is for my clients to achieve independence, developing the capacity to take care of themselves and find their own inner power to embark towards a happy and fulfilling life.

During each session, we'll address specific concerns, whether it's navigating cultural adjustments, managing stress, or enhancing your overall well-being. Together we will explore tailored strategies and practical exercises to empower you in your journey towards personal growth and fulfilment.

Our sessions will be a dynamic dialogue that, guided by your goals and preferences, will aim at fostering positive change and equipping you with the tools and personal capabilities you need to succeed.

Who am I?

I am Fabio: a psychologist, counsellor, and coach in Lecce and online. I have been a qualified psychologist since 2009 and an academic researcher on Human Flourishing: the science of leading a good life.

I have lived in the UK for 13 years, moving around the country and experiencing first-hand the struggles of finding my feet in a new culture, people, and job. Most of all, to find my own "place".

My curiosity and interest in personal growth have led me to devour many books from academic literature as well as self-help resources. While the suggestions had value in the short term, they failed to deliver in the long run.

My counselling and workshop sessions rely on a model of Sustainable Well-Being and Human Flourishing that I have developed from both Self-Empowerment and Human Flourishing techniques.

Ultimately I help my clients find their way to happiness and a personal path to sustainable wellbeing
